It first showed up as a correction this spring in risk assets on the $TSX and other commodities markets. I’ve been writing reviews of KQ issues for quite some time, but, for me, this issue is different from all the rest, because it features an article written by me. I’ve therefore decided to split my review in two: this post and a separate, future... In the end, I placed in the top 4 and was given a great opportunity to start edging my way into game design freelancing, including a Pathfinder Society scenario (due out on 30 November 2011). Some may think that it’s a bit too early to start writing reflective posts about the year that was 2011. The recent release of Kobold Quarterly 19 , however, seems a far more suitable time for such reflection than a post-Christmas/early 2012 piece. The competition, which ran over a few months, was one of the most stressful, yet fun and exciting times of my gaming history....
